How does student insurance differ from standard insurance?

Does an entrepreneur need special insurance?
No, an entrepreneur gets standard comprehensive insurance.
Can I get VZP instead of private insurance if I run a business?
Yes, if you already have permanent residency. If you have temporary residency, you’ll need private insurance.
Can I use my comprehensive insurance for childbirth?
It’s possible, but comprehensive insurance policies usually have a waiting period — on average, around 6 months. If you get pregnant before that period ends, the insurance won’t cover prenatal care or childbirth.
How do I know which hospital to go to?
Along with your insurance policy, you’ll receive a list of partner hospitals. You can choose any of them, or call your insurance provider for a recommendation on where to go.
